Supporting Israel's Soldiers

Terri's Angels is a 100% volunteer-run organization founded by cousins Terri Ackerman in New York and Yael Levy in Israel. We work in partnership with the Suffolk Y Jewish Community Center (SYJCC) to receive tax-deductible monetary donations to purchase critical supplies, equipment, meals, and support to Israeli soldiers and civilians in need.

Every donation goes directly toward helping those on the front lines.

From tactical equipment and emergency supplies to supporting Lone Soldiers, Terri's Angels is committed to making a direct impact where it is needed most.

Medical Request

bfus saved a life.jpg
The major shared that he thought 5 soldiers who died in the past month might have survived had their medics been equipped with this technology. If this device can save even one life it is vital to get it to the medics.
The Israeli soldiers tell us what they need.  YOU help us provide.
YOU SAVED A LIFE!

Terri's Angels Co-Founder Yael Levy spoke with an IDF major who serves in the Syria-Lebanon sector. He oversees the combat medics in northern Israel. He approached Yael to ask for help from Terri's Angels to purchase a Butterfly IQ3 - a handheld ultrasound device.

The Butterfly ultrasound, which is small enough to fit in a pocket, enables medics to identify quickly internal bleeding, collapsed lungs, fractures, and other life-threatening injuries on the battlefield - CRITICAL information that cannot be detected by the human-eye alone. Those precious minutes can mean the difference between life and death.

Several Thank Yous to YOU!

Patti, Cena & our anonymous donor for purchasing an $800 oven/stove for a commander up north. When the dealer heard that the IDF was the recipient he threw in a microwave for free!

We had a request for a drone from the Israel Dog Unit -a civilian nonprofit in Samaria that uses trained dogs, drones and volunteer search teams for search-and-rescue and community security, often working alongside the IDF, Israel Police and other emergency services.

We are also incredibly grateful Gully, who picks up drones and other donations from Yael’s “War Room”—the storage room in her home—and delivers them to units throughout Israel. He also takes wonderful videos so our donors can see the difference their generosity is making!

Thank you as well to all our recent passengers, including participants from three different Birthright groups. We have sent 22 suitcases in just the past few weeks!

A huge thank-you to Yael’s enthusiastic 18-year-old volunteer, Elimelech, who has been driving all over Israel to pick up suitcases from the airport—even meeting a passenger at 4:00 a.m.—and from hotels in Tel Aviv, then delivering them to units throughout Israel. He says he wants to do as many mitzvot as possible before entering the army!

Thank you to Laurie, Goldie, and Marion for packing so many suitcases, and to Marion and Lenny for making the airport deliveries.

Thank you to all these SUITCASE ANGELS who have been bringing donations to Israel, carrying suitcases and bags filled with supplies and love!

These folks can tell you WHY it's called LUGGAGE!

HEROGRAMS

Honor someone special. Support Israel’s heroes!

We’re excited to introduce a special fundraising opportunity for the second half of August!

herogram list.png

Here’s how it works:

1.    Make a TAX-DEDUCTIBLE donation in ANY amount to Terri’s Angels through our Lev Echad/Chesed Fund—Team Terri’s Angels page

Commander Raz will record a personalized video message letting that special person know that a donation was made to Terri’s Angels in their honor!

2.   Email your donation confirmation to:          terris.angels.israel@gmail.com

3.   In the email, tell us who the donation is from, who is being honored, the special occasion (if there is one), how to pronounce any names (if necessary), as well as anything else you would like Commander Raz to mention in the video.

Commander Raz volunteered to record personalized HeroGram videos for ALL donations — whether your donation supports his Golani Carmeli unit or is used by Terri’s Angels where it is needed most.

Your personalized Terri’s Angels HeroGram will be sent within approximately one week.

Terri’s Angels HeroGram

      Honor someone special.

      Double your impact.

      Support Israel’s heroes.

4.   If you would like your donation designated specifically for Commander Raz’s Golani Carmeli unit, please let us know. Otherwise, your donation will be used by Terri’s Angels where it is needed most.

Terri's Angels Israel Mission

The Terri's Angels Israel Mission is more than just a trip; it is a profound journey of solidarity and support. You will be making personal connections with IDF soldiers and the people supporting them.

From October 19–25, 2026, our community will travel to IDF bases and local centers to provide direct aid and deliver needed equipment. This mission focuses on delivering strategic and tactical equipment, funding morale-boosting BBQs, and addressing the daily living needs of those defending the Jewish homeland.

Our tour is 100% customized for Terri's Angels, giving you experiences not found on standard tours. We visit civilian emergency centers, IDF bases, volunteer with organizations providing food, education, and school supplies.  In addition to the soul-uplifting volunteering you will have a chance to shop, dine and see historic sites.

Notes of Love.jpg

Notes of Love is an initiative created to remind IDF soldiers that they are not forgotten and they are not alone. Inspired by seeing the powerful impact of handwritten messages on soldiers in Israel, Notes of Love began under Terri's Angels - Duffel Bags for Israel as a way for people of all ages to connect with IDF Soldiers.

See the Joy!

Select and order an item from the IDF Commanders' wishlist and have it sent to Terri's Angels at the SYJCC. We'll pack it up and get it overseas to fill the requests.

Contributions for Drone & Other Purchases in partnership with The Chesed Fund of Lev Echad - DONATE HERE

At this time drones are THE most needed item. We have several units that are in need of drones - both the standard models and the night vision model. Drones save lives. Any contribution towards the cost of a drone is greatly appreciated. This is a tax-deductible 501(3)c donation. Lev Echad also purchases and delivers non-drone equipment and supplies.
